My good friend is a mother of 6 and wanted some photographs taken to capture the special relationship she has with her youngest child, N, who is 2 and such a lucky little man to still be nursing. Being the believer in extended breastfeeding I am (there never becomes a time when mother’s milk is no longer nutritionally beneficial to a child!) I thought this was a great idea. She was happy to allow me to share these images, in hopes it inspires other moms to capture this special time in their lives and promote the naturalness of extended nursing. N was full of energy–phew, was I tired by the end of this shoot–only to return home to my own energetic, nursing toddler.
